Kerala… God’s Own Country
The small state of Kerala, which represents just 1% of the land mass, is considered to be one of India’s most beautiful state. It is a very rural state with most of the population living in villages but is culturally and scenically diverse. Kerala has two national parks, ten wildlife sanctuaries and two bird sanctuaries. The people of Kerala are warm and friendly and interaction with them is often a highlight of a holiday to Kerala. Keralites have a strong culture and are fiercely proud of their state.
Day 01:- Cochin – Munnar
Arrive at Cochin Airport / Railway station, meet our representative on arrival and proceed to Munnar. Munnar- one of the most popular Hill stations in India, situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located at 1600m above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Enroute visit Cheeyapara and Kallar waterfalls. Enjoy overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 02:- Munnar
After Breakfast proceed on a full day Tour to the Sprawling Tea Plantations, Enchanting rolling hills, countless Cardamom estates, Reservoirs for hydel projects, Tea Museum & Factory, waterfalls etc. After Proceed to visit Eravikulam National Park which is a 30 minutes drive away from Munnar Town. The Main attraction of this park is ‘Nilgiri Thaws’ – A rare species of mountain goats, are protected in this park. The Park is also famous for mystical Neela Kurinji, a rare wild tropical plant which blooms only once in Twelve years. Later we take you to Ecopoint, Kundala Dam, Matupetty and blossom Park. Over night stay at Munnar.
Day 03:- Munnar – Thekkady
After Breakfast proceed to Thekkady. Thekkady is one of the world’s most fascinating natural wildlife reserves – the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Check in at hotel. Evening leave for sightseeing at Periyar Tiger Reserve. It is a unique preserved wildlife sanctuary. Here we can see the wild animals closely. Thekkady Spread over a picture perfect landscape it holds great opportunities for wildlife watching and photography. Return back to the hotel by noon. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 04:- Thekkady to Alleppey
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and transfer to Aleppey. On arrival check in at houseboat. Rest of the day at leisure on the House Boat. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals. Lunch, Evening Tea/Coffee with snacks, dinner and enjoy your evening on the sundeck away from polluted cities and maddening crowd .Only disturbance will be twinkle of a shining star or diving of fish around you to say hello by waving its tail from the lake. Overnight stay on House Boat.
- In A/C Deluxe House Boat, A/C will be switched on from 9 pm to 6 am.
- Check in / checkout time for House Boat: 12 noon – 9 am
- House boat will be moving from 12 noon to 5 pm and 8 am to 9 am.
- Between 5pm and 8 am House boat will be anchored near to the shore.
Food in HB is normally Non Veg. If you require only Veg food inform before the tour commence.
Day 05:- Departure from Cochin
After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and drive to Cochin. Enroute Visit Mattancherry palace, Jewish synagogue, St. Francis church, Chinese fishing nets etc. We are sure that your Body & soul merged with the tradition of this Magical Land. But you have to say good bye at least for the moment. We will take you to the Airport / Railway Station in time.
